Dr. Therese Korth
Therese is a licensed psychologist (PhD). She earned her Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Social Work and her Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Nebraska. Additionally, she completed a two-year post-graduate program in couples and family therapy. Fortunate to practice psychology in several professional settings, Dr. Korth has worked in Texas, Hawaii, Iowa and Nebraska. Most recently, before moving to Austin, she lived and worked on the Big Island of Hawaii. Because of her varied training, Dr. Korth is comfortable seeing children, teens, adults, couples and families. She approaches problems from a trauma-informed framework that is solution focused. Her areas of specialization include helping people with ADHD, depression and anxiety develop skills to find relief now and in the future. She believes in starting where the client is and working towards not just insight but lasting behavior change.
In her free time, Dr. Korth likes taking her dog on hikes or long walks, refinishing old furniture, playing with her grandchildren and reading voraciously.
